Yoga IB system is based on neural network technology. Therefore, Yoga system has a self-learning climate regulation. The self-learning capability automatically adjusts the climate control system to each room’s energy characteristics. Yoga IB system has room-based climate control: heating, ventilation, air conditioning and humidification. Savings on energy are achieved by time-based automation – the rooms are heated, cooled and ventilated at regular levels – and presence-based climate control – whenever a person leaves the room, the system decreases the heat setting, increases the air conditioning and resets ventilation at minimum level.

The system controls building’s lighting according to people presence, date and time, and candlepower (the system offers the opportunity during the day to switch off lights when there is enough candlepower coming through the windows), room by room.

In addition, Yoga IB system includes alarm system, access control, remote reading (identifies the possible wasteful behavior), intercom and equipment control. All user interfaces are web-based and accessible from any browser-based device.

Yoga system consists of three layers: the server, main controller and modules. Main controller exchanges data between modules and the server in both directions. Modules are the devices which read the signals from the outside world or send them there. The server handles different signals and messages to and from outside systems and allows for web-based system set-up and management.


Yoga IB is the first self-learning Intelligent Building system.

Yoga IB system takes into consideration different environmental characteristics (people presence, season of the year, actual energy consumption), thereby the consumption of electrical and heat energy is reduced up to 50%.

The self-learning climate and lighting regulation automatically adjusts the climate and lighting control systems to each room’s energy characteristics. Presence-based climate control decreases the heat setting, increases the air conditioning and resets ventilation at minimum level whenever there is no one in a room. It has been calculated that a 27% energy saving can be achieved by resetting ventilation at the minimum level for eight hours on workdays in the winter.

Yoga IB’s lighting system controls lighting according to people presence, date and time, and candlepower, room by room. It is possible to achieve up to 44% energy savings on lighting by combining these three control methods.

Environmental aspects
Yoga Intelligent Building System optimizes the energy consumption by adjusting its actions to the environment. Savings on energy are achieved by the time-based and the presence-based automation. In addition, Yoga system indirectly reduces CO2-emissions and saves mineral resources.

Social aspects
Yoga IB system is an intelligent building system based on neural network, therefore it takes into account special needs and characteristics of the environment and people. The system enables continuously respond and adapt to changing conditions, allowing for a more efficient use of resources and increasing the comfort and security of its occupants. As the system includes built-in alarm system, it automatically handles different safety issues (system failures, fire, burglary etc). For example, in case of a fire, the fire alarm communicates with the security system to unlock the doors and the security system communicates with the air conditioning system to regulate the flow of air to prevent the fire from spreading.

Yoga IB system can be used in residential, business and special purpose buildings.  


Intelligent building systems are nowadays still expensive. It is likely that when people become more aware of possibilities to save energy and concurrently money, the IB systems will become mass products and will be lower in cost.
