Description

The object of the invention is the method of manufacturing products in the form of aqueous silica sol with waste chalcedonite. The product is designed, in particular, for impregnating construction parts to secure them against harmful weather conditions and to improve their mechanical properties. A distinctive feature of the new method is that a specific type of crystallographic silica is used as a raw material to produce the impregnant occurring in the natural deposits of chalcedonite, i.e. amorphic silica. The method is greatly simplified in terms of its technology by using amorphic silica as a raw material and the production costs of aqueous silica sol are decreased. Additionally, waste chalcedonites - that up till now have not been utilised in industry and have been stored in the form of dumps posing threat to the environment - are used for producing silica sols with this method.
