Doranova offers variety of high quality services for the need of waste and water management. Doranovas filtration systems are suitable for wastewater treatment plants, landfills and industrial use.

Our solutions for the needs of water management:
  • Reverse osmosis
  • Activated carbon filtration
  • Membrane technology
  • Air sparging systems
  • Oil separators
For waste management companies Doranova offers leachate water treatments, landfill gas collection and productivity systems.

Doranovas solutions for waste management:
  • Landfill gas monitoring (FID)
  • Planning of gas collection systems
  • Implementation of gas collection systems
  • Burning torches
  • CHP plants (combined heat &power)

Advantages

Using gas collection systems helps to use closed landfills for collecting biogas. Doranova`s water filtration systems are suitable for wastewater treatment plants, landfills and industrial use. The technique used in the plants is always selected case-by-case without forgetting the importance of cost efficiency. Using gas collection systems helps to use closed landfills for collecting biogas. Doranova`s systems are highly efficient and they can be fully automated and monitored via Internet.

Innovative aspects (ecologic, social and economic)

Gas collection systems and CHP plants help to improve environment as the landfill gas coming from landfills is used for energy production and at the same time harmful greenhouse gas methane does not escape to the atmosphere. For example Rääma gas collection system is expected to collect biogas for 10 years.
Probably the main social impact is that establishing CHP plants help to raise awareness about renewable energy. Gas collection systems show that old landfills can be useful for producing energy.

Application examples

Gas collection systems are used in closed landfills for biogas production.
Doranova is developing gas collection system in Aardlapalu and biogas from this system might be a potential energy source for Tartu city transport.
In 2011 Doranova built a gas collection system to Rääma landfill. They hope to collect over 2,1 million m3 of bigas for producing over 3,5 megawatt of electricity per day.

Cost

Aardlapalu landfill project cost about 6,5 million EUR. Developing CHP plants need some investment but using this energy from this plant hopefully decreases costs for electrical energy.
