Big amount of heat was wasted during the glass production process. The company installed the heat utilizators. They satisfied its needs for the heat energy but still part of the energy was unused. By this reason bilateral agreement to sell the unused energy between the company and municipal heating plant was signed. The company sold 17500 Gcal of energy during the period of two years.  Utilizators
 withe the efficiency of  was only 0,3 – 0,4 have been changed with the new and more efficient equipment.

Environmental benefit:
Reduction of thermal effect:
  • exhausted gas temperature before the heat exchanger is 450 – 480 oC, and after the heat exchanger - 130 - 150 oC; 
  • the amount of the produced energy will be increased and municipal heating plant can save 1085,7 t of oil per year and due to this, to reduce air pollution by 61,23 t/year. 

Economic effect:

Total investments - 800 680 Lt;
Yearly savings - 339 132 Lt;
Pay-back period - 2.35 year.
