Daniel de Graff will represent SPIN in the cluster workshop on the 8th of February in Berlin

08.02.2011 — 08.02.2011
In autumn 2010 the Monitoring Committee of the Baltic Sea Region Programme 2007-2013 initiated a new instrument for cooperation - cluster initiatives. Its main purpose is to capitalise the use of knowledge and results produced in the so far approved projects and to increase their visibility. The instrument enables joint dissemination of tools and best practices developed by the involved projects. Based on the analysis of the project portfolio six potential cluster initiatives were identified:

1. Energy efficiency and renewable energy sources,

2. Climate change,

3. Multimodal cross-border transport corridors,

4. Fighting pollution of the Baltic Sea waters,

5. Maritime safety,

6. Tools supporting innovation sources.

The topic of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources has been selected for testing the concept of cluster initiatives. Thus we would like to invite you to the workshop for pilot cluster initiative on 8 February 2011 in Berlin/Germany. The workshop is addressed to the representatives of lead and project partners from the following eight projects co-financed by the Baltic Sea Region Programme: BalticBiogasBus, Bioenergy Promotion, COOL Bricks, Longlife, PEA, REMOWE, SPIN, Urb.Energy. The aim of the workshop is to identify joint topics for cooperation among the projects and to start the work to build a Baltic Sea Region Programme Energy Cluster.

Please note that maximum three persons per project are invited. The participants should be mainly responsible for content related tasks of their projects and need to have a deep knowledge of the project outcomes.
